DGA Donates $5,100 to Neighborhood Housing
DEADWOOD, SD (8/16/07) -- Deadwood Gaming Association (DGA) President, Mike Rodman presented Neighborhood Housing Services of the Black Hills (NHS) Board President, Eric Fowler and Executive Director, Joy McCracken, with a $5,100 donation Tuesday, August 14, 2007, for their, “Campaign for Neighborhoods.”
The donation, made from proceeds of the 11th Annual DGA Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament was held on July 14th at The Golf Club at Red Rocks. The funds are raised through registration fees, hole sponsorships, the sale of “mulligans,” and hole-in-one shots.
“We are extremely pleased by the commitment the DGA has shown toward Neighborhood Housing,” said NHS Executive Director Joy McCracken. “Through the organization’s on-going commitment, they’ve helped change the lives of many residents in the Black Hills.”
Since 1998, NHS has assisted over 100 Deadwood employees with the dream of homeownership, McCracken noted. The annual donation to Neighborhood Housing Services’ Campaign for Neighborhoods, which assists residents with the dream of home ownership, is one of the many ways in which the Deadwood Gaming Association gives back to the community, she said.
