Paint the Town-Sturgis
Since 2004, NHS has sponsored this event which helps selected residents receive a fresh coat of paint on their homes. In 2007, nearly 50 volunteers signed up to paint 1 homes within the community of Sturgis. The event is co-sponsored by South Dakota Housing Development Authority's "Paint South Dakota" program, and Neighborhood Housing Services. Since 1994, over 60 homes have been painted by volunteers throughout our communities. The event is held each June.
